Stop Handing Bigots the Microphone
Free speech does not protect hate, bigotry, and repeated attempts to push a right-wing agenda
She’s at it again
Little Miss Bigot missed the attention she was getting last year, despite the fact that it was predominately negative, apparently she’s so hard-up that any kind of attention is good enough for her.
You’ve likely heard stories about extremists trying to breed fear into parents and school boards, claiming that providing inclusive literature and comprehensive sexual health education were somehow “harmful” to children.
We had our own version of this sideshow right here in our small rural community (background info here), but our division responded very well, and we hoped we were done with this mess.
You know what’s actually harmful to children? Growing up in a community where speaking out against diversity and inclusion is allowed to go on.
It’s harmful for children to grow up in a household with parents who want to deny the existence of the 2s+LGBTQ community, who want to censor people’s stories and their literary works, and who do so under the guise of “protecting” children.
It’s disgusting. It’s reprehensible, and it’s unacceptable.
