Celiac Disease is not a gluten allergy
Celiac Disease (CD) is not a gluten allergy, a sensitivity, nor an intolerance. CD is an immune-mediated, chronic condition.
One evening, when I was newly diagnosed, I was out for dinner and drinks with my team after a soccer game. I was just learning how to navigate a gluten-free (GF) diet at home, and very awkwardly figuring out how to eat in a restaurant without getting sick.

People with Celiac Disease have a 1.4 times increased risk of epilepsy and seizure disorders. About 7% of Autistic children and 9% of Autistic adults have seizures, compared to approximately 1–2% of the general population.
